Hardware Zone Ranks Among Singapore's Top SMEs

Singapore - 1 February, 2006 -
Hardware Zone Pte Ltd, the leading provider of marketing channels and services to the information communications, technology and interactive entertainment industry in Asia, is pleased to announce that the company ranks among Singapore's top 500 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), according to the latest Singapore SME 500 rankings released.

A recognition of Singapore's top performing companies, the S1000 and SME500 awards and rankings are compiled by DP Information Group (DP Info) using the audited results of over 7,000 companies incorporated in Singapore, with their financial year ending from 1st June 2004 to 31st May 2005. "The result is an honour roll of the most successful companies in Singapore - from large multinational corporations recognised throughout the world, to home-grown SME success stories," said Ms Chen Yew Nah, Managing Director, DP Information Group.

The annual rankings, now into their 19th year, are co-produced by Ernst & Young and supported by The Business Times, IE Singapore and Spring Singapore.

"We are very pleased with the strength of our balance sheet at year end that includes SGD $3.8 million worth of net assets. Hardware Zone has leapfrogged the competition since its inception in 1999," said Mr. Eugene Low, Managing Director, Hardware Zone Pte Ltd."This accolade pays tribute to the aptitude of our people and the commitment they feel to the company."

Last December, Hardware Zone received the Regional Headquarters Award from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). With the aim of establishing Singapore as a premier international headquarters hub, the Regional Headquarters incentive program encourages expansion of local companies by granting a concessionary tax rate to qualifying organizations. Hardware Zone achieved a business turnover of SGD $4 million in fiscal year 2004 - a 1300% jump from year 2000's results - and owns subsidiaries in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan.

"This year, with more than 25 online and print titles, we are well on our way to achieve our next milestone of becoming a SGD 10 million media group. That's a 250% increase over our 2004 audited group revenue," said Dr. Jackie Lee, CEO, Hardware Zone Pte Ltd. "I am looking forward to testing the boundaries of this company."
