Singapore - 2 Dec, 2005 - PHOTOi
prepares for an exciting start to the year with a grand revamp
beginning with the January 2005 issue that enhances the aesthetic
quality of its content. Maintaining its focus on photography news,
articles on master-class photographers and tutorials on various
aspects of the craft, the concerted effort in design ensures that
PHOTOi is a must-read for the consummate professional photographer,
the active hobbyist and the newly initiated.
The meteoric rise of digital camera adoption and
the growing trend of prosumers ready to spend over $1200 on high-end
cameras have each contributed to the phenomenal success of PHOTOi.
This target readership profile have since moved on from knowing
all there is to know about cameras to acquiring knowledge that
will help them to achieve their full potential in the visual arts
and source for events and opportunities to hone their skills.
"Our hard work on the PHOTOi revamp and the
initial feedback pouring in from the community has been very positive
of our efforts," said Joe Ang, Product Manager for PHOTOi.
"We aim to ensure that our readers will be rewarded with
the knowledge they need in each issue as we generate more events
in 2005 that will serve to bring the community together."
Since the launch of its subscription service in
July 2004, PHOTOi has attracted over 1,000 subscribers,
an inspiring feat considering the fact that the magazine is available
free at over 260 outlets island-wide with a monthly distribution
size of 35,000. Inclusively, the online counterpart to the magazine,
www.photoi.org now boasts over 3,000 registered members since
its recent inception in October 2004, with members enjoying 20
MB of storage space for their digital photos and the exclusive
opportunity to take part in photography competitions online.
"Our aim in 2005 is to grow the number of subscribers
and online members to 4,000 and 10,000 respectively, and the PHOTOi
revamp in 2005 is but one of the first initiatives," said
Joe Ang, "We are certain that the continuous support of our
community and sponsors will ensure that we achieve this goal."
