AsiaStockWatch.com - July 31, 2000 - HardwareZone.com, a Singapore-based business-to-business and business-to-consumer IT portal, has just received first-round funding of S$1.5 million from a group of angel investors which include Ng Tee Khiang, founding chairman of MediaRing.Com Ltd.

The portal, founded by a group of National University of Singapore (NUS) undergraduates provides pegged-to-market price listings of IT components as well as complete systems, IT product reviews and an integrated community platform for consumers and vendors.

HardwareZone.com has formed partnerships with supply and demand chain infrastructure players like Acefusion.com and 3Fusion and launched a hosting service and affiliate programme to capitalise on its content and drive e-commerce activity. The S$1.5 million raised will be used to expand the company’s pan-Asian operations.
